Luxury and Elegance. French porcelain at court and the Manifattura Ginori (1800 - 1830)

Located in the eighteenth-century Casino del Cavaliere (literally: the knight’s little house) in the Boboli Gardens, the Porcelain Museum is now forty years old: this is an important birthday for the Museum that collects porcelain tableware of all the Florentine ruling families and it is celebrated with an exhibition.
Luxury and Elegance. French Porcelain at the Court and Manifattura Ginori (a porcelain manufacturing company) examines the huge spreading of porcelain and the coming of Napoleon’s domination in Florence (from 1800 to 1830, the year when the Napoleonic restoration occurred).
